Introducing Candy+: The hybrid of luxury gel nail innovation

Candy+ a luxury brand that is not merely another addition to the market. It's a unique brand that fuses the finest Japanese and Russian manicure techniques, setting new standards in nail care innovation. Candy+ products are crafted with non-toxic, cosmetic-grade materials, ensuring the utmost care for your nails. What sets Candy+ apart is its diverse product range, offering options like gels and acrylic, let’s get into it!.

Candy+ combines Japanese gels with Russian manicure techniques, and they even have an acrylic line if you’re into that. One cool thing about Candy+ is that they offer educational resources to help you get the most out of their products.

One of the standout features of Candy+ is their clear gels. They remind me a lot of Leaf Gel. The structure gel is a true medium viscosity, giving you plenty of time to build and level your nails nicely. The base gel is thin, so a little goes a long way. If you’re not big on using primer with your gels, you’ll appreciate how well it grips the natural nail.

Their color gels are another highlight. These are super thin, almost like polish. The first time I used their color gels, I was amazed. It felt like applying regular polish, but it stayed put without shrinking or pulling back. If you like having control over your color application, Candy+ might be a brand worth checking out. Their color gels are smooth, thin, and very pigmented.

Another thing I love about Candy+ is their versatility. The base coat, being so thin, it can be mixed with glitter or used to create syrup gel colors. The application is always smooth, making it easy to work with.

Though these are some of the great features Candy+ offers, there are a few things I’m not a fan of. One major issue is their packaging. Some of their caps aren’t acetone-proof. If you use acetone to clean up any gel that gets on the cap, the color gets wiped off. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s a bit annoying. I prefer product packaging that can withstand acetone since we nail techs use Acetone on the daily.

Another con is the plastic covering on their potted color gels. When you try to remove the covering, sometimes the whole pot of gel comes out of the square container. This got me wondering if they have replaceable gel pods, which would save money and reduce waste, but I’m not sure if that’s the case.

The biggest downside for me, is the accessibility to their products. When I first got some Candy+ items a year ago, I had a hard time restocking them. They were often out of stock, and it took ages for new stock to come in. If Candy+ were one of my main brands, I’d have to switch due to the unreliability of getting the products I need. It’s been about two and a half years, and I’m just now seeing some restocking at Zillabeau. This delay of items getting restock makes me hesitant to commit fully to this brand.

Despite the cons, I still think Candy+ is a great brand to invest in, especially for their color gels. The smooth application and vibrant colors make them a joy to work with. If they can sort out the accessibility issues, I’d be more than happy to use their products more regularly.
